Alborada

Our initiatives

Besides Mágica Navidad, Alborada runs small recurring actions: everyday gestures that add up for Medellín's social causes.

Blind dinner

You will eat without seeing. Feel without judging.

Sometimes, to truly feel, you have to close your eyes. The blind dinner is a sensory experience to let go of control, trust your senses and rediscover the magic of simple things.

A scent, a taste, an emotion: when we cannot see, we feel more deeply. It is an evening to connect with yourself, with others and with everything that usually goes unnoticed.

Pending coffee

Because sharing is also served in cups.

With Pending Coffee you can give that moment to someone who needs it most. A small gesture that costs the price of a coffee.

We are inspired by the caffè sospeso, a Neapolitan tradition: leaving a coffee paid for so someone else can receive it. In Medellín, we live it with Café Primavera.

How it works

  1. 1Order your pending coffee.
  2. 2Get a ticket.
  3. 3Gift a coffee to someone who needs it.

Solidarity Saturday

Every Saturday can be an act of solidarity.

In partnership with Granny's House, every Saturday 15% of each wash becomes support for an Alborada social project.

No extra cost and no additional donations: just bring your laundry and you are part of the change. And because we believe in transparency, you get a WhatsApp notification when your contribution goes to the corresponding social initiative.

How it works

  1. 1Bring your laundry to Granny's House on a Saturday.
  2. 215% of each wash goes to an Alborada social project.
  3. 3You get a WhatsApp when your contribution reaches the initiative.
